Healthy Food

This term we are learning about healthy food which fuels our bodies and helps us to think and learn. We have learnt that we need to eat like a rainbow - this means that we need to make sure we are getting a variety of different foods, in all sorts of colours. In a day we might have a yellow banana, some red meat, some green peas and even some purple cabbage! What other colourful healthy foods can you think of to eat?

Check out some pictures of us trying some new healthy foods in class and the captions that we wrote for our pictures...

Here is Awhina eating a banana. She had to wear a blind fold and guess what type of food she was eating. She guessed it straight away.

Mrs Andersen is picking people to test the foods.

Melinda is holding a blindfold over Jordan's eyes so he can't see what food he is about to eat!
Rizyiah is holding the blind fold for Lukas.
Kahu is eating a juicy mandarin, it is full of vitamin C. Vitamin C helps to keep away bugs.
